This is my recommendation of those (just to name a few) whom I find to be “Thought Leaders” in all that is online marketing and social media, for most you don’t even have to look further than your own back yard.

Hubspot.com: A user friendly, inbound marketing system that enables businesses to take advantage of the internet and their online presence (search engines, blogs, and social media sites) to get found by more potential customers and convert higher percentages of them to customers. They also publish cool tools like Website Grader, Twitter Grader and Blog Grader. Check it out!

Rand Fishkin and SEOMoz; You can follow both on Twitter @randfish and @seomoz. Each week I look the most forward to their Whiteboard Friday, which is incredibly formative and creative.

Chris Brogan, who shares his expertise about the online community and social media on his blog regularly. With a unique perspective on both, his blog is definitely worth following. You can find him on Twitter at @chrisbrogan.

Jill Whalen is a local legend, SEO consultant and owner of High Rankings. Follow her on Twitter at @jillwhalen.

Beth Kanter provides a unique take on social media and its influence on non-profits, especially how it has effected and continues to effect the fundraising climate. Very cool information. On Twitter you can find her as @kanter.

Matt Cutts formerly known as a Google Engineer guru now taking his place as Google’s permier hall monitor of Spam, Matt’s blog is great to follow for more technical and pratical know how and how to. Check him out on Twitter as well, @mattcutts.

Seth Godin the master of all things marketing. He has a command of words like no one else. You’ll find him at @NotGodinREPOSTs though he’s not the social media type.

Come back for more as this list will have more names added to it regularly…who knows, you may even see your name on this list.
