Great Friday Reads…

Posted on 24 April 2009 by RChurt

Here are some interesting reads worth sharing, and definitely worth reading:

  • Social Media Stories (Humerous Slideshow) by Seth Goldstein
  • Putting the “custom” back in customer, is a great post about the need for customer service. Check out my post on customer service and how to avoid drowning your clients in jargon.
  • Does Susan Boyle water your acorn? If for nothing else, then the title…now I’m not on the band wagon, however, the perspective of this article explores the social politics of today’s economic climate very well…must read.
  • Top 10 Reasons Brands should Listen to Social Media. This post is actually from the beginning of April (so old news in the online world) but definitely worth repeating. Don’t sit on the sidelines folks!
  • In light of Earth Day, here’s a great way of doing something green (since we are all so busy)…support a great cause like the Jane Goodall Institute. They truly do amazing work. Here is their recommendation for 6 easy things to do for Earth Day, which really should be everyday. Don’t you think?!
  • Trendspotting.com takes a look at Corporate Crisis and managing responses. If you’ve not yet heard about the Domino Employee YouTube scandal, where two (um *stupid*) employees recorded themselves shoving cheese up their nose (again *stupid*) you have to read this case study.

Happy Friday everyone!
